Jadavpur University, a state-level university, started in 1955 and has campuses in Jadavpur and Salt Lake. The college provides B.Tech, M.Tech, PhD, MCA, BSc, MSc, BP.Ed, BPharm, BArch courses.

The course fee for the B.Tech programme is around Rs 2400 per annum and for M.Tech is around Rs 4800 per annum. The total number of approved seats for B.Tech is 866 and for M.Tech is 453. The course fee for the BTech programme is around Rs 3.32 lakhs and for MTech is around Rs 2.7 lakhs. The total number of approved seats for BTech is 960 and for Mtech is 126. The admission is through the JEE mains or WBJEE score for BTech and through the PGCET or GATE score for MTech. The highest salary in placements for Btech students was 16 lakhs. The course fee for the BTech programme is around Rs 5.83 lakhs. The total number of approved seats for BTech is 900 and for Mtech is 54. Admission for BTech is through WBJEE score. Admission for the MTech programme is through the PGCET or GATE score. The average salary in placements for Btech students is around Rs 5-6 lakhs per annum. 4.   MCKV Institute of Engineering

MCKV Institute of Engineering was founded in 1999 and affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). The college provides BTech, MTech, MSc, and MBA courses.

The course fee for the BTech programme is around Rs 3.2 lakhs and MTech is around 1.5 lakhs. The total number of approved seats for BTech is 552 and for Mtech is 18. Admission to the BTech programme is through JEE Mains or WBJEE score and for the MTech programme, through the PGCET or GATE score. Adamas University was founded in 2014 by Sachis Kiran Roy Memorial Trust and the parent organisation, Roy’s Institute of Competitive Private Limited. The college provides Btech, BCA, BALLB (Hons.), BCom (Hons.). B.Ed, PhD and MBA courses.

The total course fee for the Btech programme is around 6.15 lakhs. Admission is through the JEE Mains, WBJEE or AUAT score. The college provides placements to maximum students. 100% mechanical and electrical students were placed for the 2020 batch. Various MNCs like Infosys, Byju’s, Juspay, L&T, Flipkart, IBM visit the college annually.
